The Hyperbaric Technician assumes responsibility for the safe and effective operation of the compression chamber system and supporting components. In addition to operating and maintaining monoplace hyperbaric chambers, the Technician will be responsible for performing TCOMs, monitoring patients, charting, and other duties as assigned. He/She will also assist in wound care and other patient care as needed.
Requirements:
Current license, certification, or training is required in one of the following qualifying vocations:
1. Registered or Practical Nurse (RN, LPN/LVN)
2. Registered Respiratory Therapist
3. Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician
4. Emergency Medical Technician
5. Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT)
6. Diving Medical Technician (DMT)
7. Military Corpsman
8. Commercial or Military Diver
9. Life Support Technician
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in healthcare or the diving industry is required. Wound, Hyperbaric, or critical care experience is preferred.
