Caduceus Occupational Medicine is currently seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a float opportunity at our clinics. We have 8 locations in the Metro Atlanta area.
This position is responsible for providing coverage at various Caduceus locations. This position is Monday thru Friday 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. No Weekends!
Essential Functions:
Greets and directs patients and visitors.
Answers phone – transfers call, directs and informs, takes message and follow-up message.
Performs appointment scheduling and registration for patients, including: daily patient log, completion of work-status sheet with patient demographics.
Maintains patients medical charts utilizing proper forms.
Follows detailed client protocols, including: faxing/mailing results, obtaining authorizations, notifying designated client contacts.
Schedules referrals for physical therapy and specialists.
Disburses proper forms and instructions to patients at check-out.
Sorts, copies, and faxes billing information to billing department.
Files medical charts, correspondence, and all forms.
Orders office supplies.
Training ability to perform drug screening.
Works to the established standards of the clinic and as instructed.
Carries out any other duties as assigned.
Assists with training of new employees as needed.
Job Qualifications:
The credentials normally associated with competence in this position include:
High School diploma and work experience in medical setting.
Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent telephone etiquette.
Multi-tasked organization skills with ability to prioritize.
Any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities for the position.
Must have 2-3 years of experience.
