We need a part time teacher assistant for our LPN to RN Bridge Program at Achieve Test Prep.
You MUST be an LPN, Paramedic, or Respiratory Therapist to apply for this position.
Achieve Test Prep has one campuses in St Louis, Missouri and three campuses in NJ. We give LPNs (and Paramedics and Respiratory Therapists) a short and easy path to transition into Registered Nurses (RN) in as little as 12 months. We do this with a new revolutionary and unique educational program where medical professionals are given credit for their existing skills and knowledge as well as for any prior college courses taken and we then prepare the student to test out of any missing courses required to achieve an Associates of Science in Nursing (ASN) at an accredited College. In addition, we also prepare the student to pass the Clinical and NCLEX exam. Our students only attend school once per week for 4 hours and there is no wait list to enroll. Teacher Assistant Description
As teacher assistant you would be responsible for helping the instructor in the classroom. You will help students in need of extra help and generally be available to do a variety of tasks that the teacher needs assistance with such as paperwork and attendance.
The classes meet once per week for 4 hours. Each class is four to ten weeks long. There are two basic types of courses that our students take prerequisites classes and Nursing classes. The prerequisite courses include classes such as Psychology, Sociology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Humanities. In addition there are seven nursing classes as well as preparatory classes designed to cover the clinical skills and NCLEX knowledge that an LPN needs to achieve their RN license.
Work-Study Option
If you are interested, a work-study position would allow you to enroll in our RN Bridge program and work towards your RN and work for us at the same time to offset part of your tuition.
